My Journey to a Flat Belly using my new Weight Loss Program

This post was written by my friend, Jane, who is embarking on the Every Other Day Diet. She promised to keep my blog readers up to date with her progress.  Please leave a comment and encourage her.

It is a new year. This time round, I have put weight loss as one of my New Year resolutions. It has been top of my agenda every year, but now, it is a must. This year, I want to try the Every Other Day Diet. In the past few months I’ve gained weight and I am now determined to lose weight. I was looking for a diet program that works and I believe that this diet program may enable me to achieve a quick weight loss.

Since it is important to select a diet after analysing what it involves and how it works, I have evaluated the effect of this diet.  I know this diet focuses on proteins, and based on my research, I believe that protein diets work well.

Last night I had a very quick read through the Every Other Day Diet ebook.  Being 118 pages long it takes a while to get through it so I only had a very quick read through.

I want to start on the weight loss journey on Thursday. To prepare for this life-changing course, I will shop for everything I need on Wednesday. After I have gone grocery shopping on Wednesday and get everything I need for the diet,  I will sit down and have a more thorough read of the book.

In my opinion, the Every Other Day Diet presents many advantages for a dieter. I have a strong feeling that it will give me the desired results. What I need to do is stay focussed. The worst that could happen is losing the firm belief that I am doing the right thing and I will be successful. It would be detrimental to lose hope. Dieting often brings discouraging thoughts. Therefore, I intend to accept this challenge and stay positive throughout.

In his eBook, Jon states three essential factors that a dieter must work with to benefit from the Every Other Day Diet. He explains these factors in the informative eBook. In summary, he talks about

  1. Dedication– In order to lose weight successfully, the dieter must adhere to the weight loss plan devotedly.
  2. Exercise– Dieting has a significant effect on our bodies, but it works best when combined with exercise. I need to combine my dieting plans with fitness so that the results are long term, and I become healthy.
  3. Be reasonable– Weight loss is not a magical experience that occurs overnight. It takes time and effort, and I must be ready to give it my best. Having unreasonable expectations only leads to disappointments.

I am embarking on this task not only for the weight loss benefits it promises, but also for the overall lifestyle change that comes with dieting. I want to enjoy this change because I know it will also ensure I am healthy and energetic to face daily challenges.

I weigh about 147 lbs (66 kg) ,a little bit less than I thought I’d be actually. I want to reduce this weight to 127 lbs (57kg), which means my target is shedding 20 pounds, which is about 9 kg. I know that’s not a huge amount but it is still always difficult to lose it.

If you are also undertaking the Every Other Day Diet, I wish you all the best. Do write in and talk about your struggles and success. I would love to hear about your experience.

You will hear about my story because I Promise to keep you updated. I am determined to lose weight using this weight loss program.

Note: Jane has added a new blog post to tell us about her experiences in the first day with the Every Other Day diet. You can also read Jane’s last blog post about her experience with this program and how she used it to lose two pounds every week.
