There are hundreds of lists on the internet of common errors people make when trying to lose weight. They are all similar, most include ten things to avoid, and you might be surprised to find out that they are mostly right on. These lists provide a useful basic guide to use when trying to lose weight, but what they don’t do is get at the harder to solve mistakes that keep you from seeing results in improving your body composition.

One of my friends struggled for months without trimming even an inch from her mid section. She had just had her first baby and she couldn’t  lose weight after her pregnancy . She picked a plan on the internet. Months later, she gave up and sought professional assistance to lose weight.

The meals should have fruits and vegetables. They aid in the healing process of bones and muscles after strenuous workouts.

Expecting over night weight loss results

She would consult her weight loss calculator everyday. Depression kicked in and she gave up. The stress levels brought fatigue and in turn slowed metabolism and activity.

Doing the wrong workout can sabotage weight loss

My friend would do so many sit-ups that I lost count. She wanted a shortcut to trimming her waist, and it never worked. Only a combination of strength training exercises and simple workouts like jogging, skipping and walking ignites the slimming process. As the stored fat turns into energy, the stomach flattens and strength training firms the muscles.
